Le Touessrok villas

Located on the east coast of Mauritius, this modern, low-key resort guarantees the ultimate luxury holiday experience. Cool in every sense of the word, the amazing service begins with your own butler to unpack and pack for you, run your bath with your choice of fragrant oils, stuff tissue in your shoes, put chocolate on your pillow and generally be at your service, 24/7.

Le Touessrok has three, fantastic 3-bedroom villas, each with their own infinity pool (which can be fenced off, as required) and garden; and each designed and furnished in cool, contemporary yet traditional, Mauritian style. Each villa has two master bedrooms (king-size beds) and a slightly smaller third bedroom. Bathrooms have sculpted, natural stone bathtubs; the bathrooms lead out to private walled gardens complete with outdoor waterfall showers and daybeds. Villas are kitted out with the latest multimedia entertainment systems and fax machine, a library of books and magazines and other home comforts, including a selection of wines.

Villa residents also enjoy the services of private cook and butler, with all meals provided in-situ, as you desire, and a free laundry and pressing service. You will also have direct access to your own private beach.

The recreational facilities at Le Touessrok are exceptional. Loungers and mattresses on the beautiful beach are placed on their own ‘islands’ in the sea; beach service is, of course, wonderful - just raise or lower your ‘flag’ to attract attention. At the barefoot beach restaurant, Paul and Virginie prepare freshly caught fish and seafood, pizzas and a range of salads. Complimentary water sports include canoes, kayaks, laser sailing dinghies, sailing boats, pedal boats, glass-bottom boat trips, snorkelling, unlimited water-skiing and windsurfing. Scuba diving (PADI and CMAS), deep-sea fishing, parasailing, banana and tube rides and catamaran sailing can also be organised.

Golfers have exclusive use of the 18-hole, par-72, Bernard Langer Championship course and Academy, on its own island. A Fitness Centre offers personal training, swimming and aquatic exercise. Four floodlit tennis courts, bocce ball, jogging track (you can even hire a jogging ‘buddy’), volleyball, archery, badminton, yoga and tai-chi are all free to residents.

There are five restaurants: Three-Nine-Eight, the main dining room, comprises a ‘culinary theatre’ of eight show kitchens, each offering a different cuisine including a continental grill, contemporary Asian and Italian corners, an extensive salad bar and a patisserie and bakery. Crusoe’s Restaurant - a favourite with children - is on the resort’s own ‘desert island’, Ilot Mangenie (5 minutes by boat and exclusive to resort guests) and offers, on Sundays, a sublime buffet featuring spit roasted lamb, Asian stir fries and an amazing array of desserts. The relaxed, ocean-front Barlens has burgers, sushi, grills and salads. Safran, conceived by Michelin-starred Atul Kochhar serves sophisticated and modern Indian cuisine.

The Family Travel Experience

Special bath menu for children; mini-bathrobes and slippers. High chairs, bottle heaters, sterilisers, kettles, nappy disposal bins and infant toilet seats on request. Complimentary ‘baby basket’ containing powder, cotton buds, soap, cologne, lotion, oil, shampoo, baby T-shirt and teddy bear provided with cots.

For the children: Free for children aged 4-11, the T-Club, like the rest of the resort, is fantastic, offering organised and imaginative activities for children and families. It has its own heated pool (with tropical rain ‘shower), ping pong and pool table, a play area with mini-loungers, a stage for performances, a cinema screen and even an eating ‘station’ where kids can make pizza, cookies and ice cream, under professional supervision. Your children can, as they (and you) wish, eat all of their meals at the T-Club! In addition to golf, tennis, windsurfing and swimming lessons, on Saturdays, kids also enjoy complimentary diving lessons. The highly trained and attentive Kid’s Club councillors pay close attention to sun protection during outside activities. 12-17 year olds have their own Teen Club - a safe and fun environment to make new friends.

Children’s menu and children’s cocktails widely available; picnics provided for excursions and return trip to airport.
